One of the most common questions I receive is: “What should I read to get started in Graphic design?”
Well, whether you’re starting out or you’re already an established graphic designer, I prepared a list of the 5 books every graphic designer should read.
One of the best books to unlock your creativity and getting work done. Highly recommended for both new and seasoned designers.
2. How to use graphic design to sell things, explain things, make things look better, make people laugh, make people cry, and (every once in a while) change the world – Michael Bierut
Pretty long title, isn’t it? Considered like a Bible of graphic design ideas, this masterpiece from Michael Bierut – The legend, is pure gold. Must read.
Written by Sean Adams, this book will change the way you see and use colors. If you don’t know Mr. Adams, he’s been cited as one of the forty most important people shaping design internationally in the ID40. If you’re passionate about Color, go for it!
Struggling to find clients? Don’t know where to start or how much to charge for a design? Well, Adrien’s book may be a good solution for you. It also includes interviews with ten leading designers.
Written for non-designers too, this book is extremely helpful when it comes to understanding how to organize text in a design, decide what typeface to use and a lot more. It contains plenty of examples, images, and useful information. Recommended if you want to improve your typographical skills.
